Should i get a tomtom gps?
My mom has sprint navigation on her blackberry which she never uses, but other than that no gps. We didnt get navigation in our car because we knew they can get outdated in our vastly changing area. So she wants one of the GPS’s like garmin or tomtom or whatever than she can mount in her car.
We dont want to spend TOO much as she wont need it too often, so i would like to put a cap on at $100, unless it is REALLY awesome. I was interested in the Tomtom Ease navigation for sale for only $60 on friday at walmart. I saw the review on cnet and it looks like an good entry level one but im not sure. Also, do you type the address or whatever or do you speak it? Does the tomtom ease come with all the maps and stuff on it? i dont wanna have to buy any other maps. It looks easy to use so i like that, but it is pretty small, right? im not sure what to do. I really just wanna spend 60, so if this is pretty good for basic once in a while navigation then please tell me, thanks.
Any GPS system which used a fixed built in map set will get outdated as areas developed, and will need updated, which is not free.
My advice is to get a TomTom which comes with the Lifetime Maps, or use a GPS service on a smart phone, which uses relatively current maps from a server.
