I think now only if everyone knows the GPS unit. A lot of people using the technology today that once relegated to the Pocket protector geeks with black frame glasses. I know that those of us who fish offshore would never leave home without it now, not know how we could do without. Unless you lived under a rock, you surely heard of Global Positioning System or GPS. There is a GPS for almost everyone: for walkers, drivers, cyclists, etc. You can also find GPS modules on some advanced phones like the Nokia 6110 Navigator.
Still needs many improvements to make it a great gps unit
